Google Business Profile optimization – more calls from people nearby

Google Business Profile optimization is the cheapest way to be found by someone who is looking for your service two streets away, right now. Two options: a one-off fix of everything that is set up wrong, or monthly care if you want the profile to keep moving.

What does Google Business Profile work cost?

One-off optimizationfrom €225 net
Monthly managementfrom €190 net/month

The exact figure depends on the size of the city, how competitive your industry is, and the current state of the profile – which is why prices are quoted as „from”. You get a quote after one short call. Prices are in euro; the invoice is issued in PLN at the National Bank of Poland rate.

What actually affects where your profile ranks?

Optimizing and “promoting” a Google Business Profile are the same work under different names. Google does not sell a higher position in Maps – the order comes from how complete and how active your profile is. Below are the four factors that weigh most.

A complete profile and the right categories

The right primary category, a full list of services, a description carrying local phrases and current opening hours – that is the base every optimization starts from.

Reviews, and replies to them

How many reviews you have, how regularly they arrive, and whether the owner replies is one of the strongest ranking signals in Google Maps. On the monthly plan I help set up a process for collecting them.

Consistent details and your website

Google compares the profile against your website and other directories. A matching name, address and phone number, plus a link to your own site, strengthen the profile.

Regular activity

Posts, new photos and answered questions show Google the business is trading. Profiles updated regularly beat competitors’ abandoned ones.

How the work goes, step by step

1. Audit of the profile and the competition

I look at how your profile compares with the companies ranking above you today: the primary category, the full list of services, how many reviews there are and how recent, the photos, and whether the company details are consistent. Out of that comes a list of fixes, ordered by what actually moves the position.

2. Categories and keywords

The primary category weighs the most and is most often wrong. I check what people in your area actually search for, and build the additional categories and the service list around that. A service name on the profile should read like the query someone types into Google – no stuffed-together phrases and no duplicates.

3. Description, photos and company details

The description is written around the phrases customers use, but still so a person can read it. Photos get filenames and descriptions that match what they show. Company details – name, address, phone – have to be identical on the profile and on the site, because a mismatch weakens local SEO.

4. Posts and reviews

Regular posts show Google the business is trading. Reviews are the strongest ranking factor, so we agree how you will ask for them, and we reply to the ones you already have – the negative ones included.

The first effects usually show a few weeks after the optimization, and profiles in less crowded industries move faster. The profile works even when you have no website yet – which is why, on a tight budget, I normally start there.

Why the website and the profile should work together

A good Google Business Profile without a decent website is half a solution, and the other way round too. The “Website” field on the profile should point at your site, not at Facebook. The site and the profile pulling together is a strong signal for local SEO.

If you do not have a site yet, or want it refreshed, see web design and local SEO (website plus profile).

What the profile does for companies already running one

Two companies in and around Krakow, two different industries. Numbers from the Google Business Profile and Search Console, as of 26 August 2026.

These are visibility numbers: how often the company showed up in Google and how many people clicked. How much of that turned into calls and enquiries only the client knows – which is why I quote what they said next to the figures.

Frequently asked questions about Google Business Profiles

What does Google Business Profile work cost?

A one-off optimization starts at €225 net, and monthly management at €190 net/month. The exact figure depends on the size of the city, how competitive the industry is, and the state of the profile. Prices are in euro; the invoice is issued in PLN at the National Bank of Poland rate.

How long before there are results?

The optimization itself takes 1–3 working days. The first changes in Google Maps positions usually show after 2–4 weeks – Google needs time to process the new profile data.

Do you work with businesses outside Krakow?

Yes. This is fully remote work – all of it happens inside the Google Business Profile dashboard. I work with companies in Krakow and the surrounding region, and just as easily anywhere else in Poland.

How is the one-off optimization different from management?

The one-off optimization is the proper setup: categories, description, photos, services, local keywords and the first posts. Management is ongoing care – regular posts, updates, position and competitor analysis. A common route is optimization first, then moving onto management.

What does the price of an optimization depend on?

Mostly the size of the city, how competitive the industry is, and the current state of the profile. A smaller town needs less work than a large, competitive city. That is why prices are quoted as “from” – the exact figure comes after a short call.

Does setting up a Google Business Profile cost anything?

Creating the profile itself is free. What you pay for is my work: setting it up correctly, the description, configuring categories, photos and services, and running the profile afterwards if you choose the monthly plan.

Not sure whether you need the one-off or the monthly plan?

One short call settles what state your profile is in and what would help most: a single proper pass, ongoing care, or both in sequence.

No obligation. You get a price range and a recommendation.

Where I work

I am based in Krakow and work with businesses across southern Poland, and remotely with the rest of the country. A video call and the phone cover it. Prices on this site are in euro – that is the figure you agree to; the invoice comes from a business registered in Poland and is issued in PLN at the National Bank of Poland rate.
