Why does an air conditioning company need a website?
The trade is seasonal. Searches in Google peak between May and August – that is when customers look for installation, servicing and repairs. With no site, or a weak one, you lose those customers before they ever hear of your company.
Air conditioning companies usually come to me with one of three problems.
- No website, or only Facebook – the customer searches for “air conditioning installation Krakow” and lands on a competitor.
- A Google Business Profile with no website – the customer taps “Website” and sees Facebook or an empty page. Some of them give up.
- An old site that stopped working – slow, unreadable on a phone, invisible in Google.
A good site solves all three at once.
What does the site need to include?
Below is a list split into the essentials (without them the site will not work) and the things worth considering.
The essentials
- A phone number visible in the header – customers in the installation trade call, they rarely write. The number has to be visible straight away, with no hunting.
- A list of services: installation, servicing, repairs – ideally as separate sections or separate pages. Every service is its own phrase in Google.
- The area you cover – Krakow, the region, the specific towns. The customer has to know whether you travel to them.
- The brands you fit – Daikin, Mitsubishi, Samsung, Bosch. It signals quality and it helps you rank for searches that include a brand name.
- Local SEO – the phrases in the copy, the metadata and the schema.org markup. Without it the site will be invisible to anybody searching locally.
Worth considering
- A gallery of completed jobs – real photos of installations in homes and offices. More on that in the next section.
- Customer reviews with a full name – short and specific. Five real ones beat twenty generic ones.
- A note about warranty and post-warranty servicing – somebody buying an air conditioning unit is thinking long term. If you offer servicing, say so outright.
- A quote form – for the customers who would rather write than call.
The gallery of completed jobs – the most important part
In this trade the customer wants to see the results of the work. A photo of a real installation in a flat convinces more than the best-written description.
Phone photos are enough as long as they are sharp and well lit. You do not need to hire a photographer. Show the context – the unit on a living room wall, the outdoor unit on a balcony, the work being done from a ladder. The customer sees what you deal with.
It is also worth describing each job: the town, the type of building, the brand of the unit. That is extra material for SEO and concrete information for a prospective customer.
I take the technical side of the gallery off your hands – compression to WebP, file names carrying the search phrase (for example air-conditioning-installation-krakow-daikin.webp), alt text. Once processed, phone photos sit comfortably within the Core Web Vitals requirements.
Local SEO – how to be visible in Google
The site has to carry local phrases in the copy, the headings and the metadata, work with schema.org LocalBusiness, and match the details in your Google Business Profile. That is what makes the site support your visibility in Google Maps rather than work against it.
A worked example: acref.pl – from Joomla to Astro
For an air conditioning company near Krakow I carried out a migration from an old Joomla site to a new one in Astro. The old site was slow, unreadable on a phone, and had a six-item navigation that customers did not use.
The effects of the migration, visible as soon as it went live:
- Navigation simplified from six items to three
- A gallery of completed jobs with real photos of installations
- Considerably faster loading (Core Web Vitals in the green)
- A Google Business Profile set up and optimized in parallel
At that point the site covered two lines of business: air conditioning installation and car air conditioning parts, each with its own section.
The technical details and the results are in the acref.pl case study.
What does it cost?
A one-page site – from €760 net A hero, a list of services (installation, servicing, repairs), a gallery of completed jobs, reviews, and contact details with a map. Simple, fast, ready for local SEO.
A site with separate pages – from €1,100 net Every service gets its own page with its own target phrase in Google. Better visibility for each search separately, optionally with a CMS so you can manage it yourself.
For most air conditioning companies a one-page site with a gallery is enough to start with – simple, fast, well optimized for local search. The version with separate pages makes sense when you want to compete aggressively for every service on its own.
The scope of each option is described on the web design page.
